Good Pub Guide Approved – quote from their website

Bustling country pub with well liked food, a fine choice of drinks, and pretty garden and hanging baskets
Well priced for the area and kept on hand pump in very good condition, the real ales in this popular and friendly pub continue to be quite a draw: Bass, Butcombe Bitter, Otter Bitter, Theakstons Old Peculier and Wickwar Spring Ale. They also have a fine range of 75 malt whiskies and 14 wines by the glass.

The neatly kept lounge has an easy-going atmosphere, modern beams and stone, a mix of tables including an attractive oval oak gate-leg, cushioned window seats, winged seats against the wall, oil paintings by a local artist and a big winter log fire. Diners can eat in the lounge or bar area or in the dining room at the back of the building (good for larger groups) and the menu is the same in all rooms. In summer, you can eat in the pretty garden and the hanging baskets and window boxes are lovely then.

They have wheelchair access and a disabled lavatory. Plenty of walks to the River Severn and along the many footpaths and bridleways, and St Arilda's church nearby is interesting, on its odd little knoll with wild flowers among the gravestones (the primroses and daffodils in spring are quite a show).
